- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) may be primary (idiopathic) or secondary to other (metabolic) causes (excess cathecholamines, hyperthyroidism, acromegaly, hypertension). This discussion will focus on the anatomical and physiological manifestations, the diagnosis and proposed treatment of Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. However, there will be some discussion of other disorders, particularly as they may relate to complications in the diagnosis (or misdiagnosis) and/or treatment of HCM.
